    Ancient Rome

The Roman civilization started with the foundation of the city of Rome in the 8th century BC.

It developed from the 753 BC to the 476 AD when the Western Roman Empire fell, although the Eastern Roman Empire was going to survive until the year 1453 AD under the name of Byzantine Empire.
